What an NFC business card is and how it works
An NFC business card is a physical card with a small chip inside. The chip does not hold your details: it holds the address of your bizCARD digital card. When someone brings their smartphone close, the phone reads the chip and opens the card in the browser. From there, one tap saves the contact with photo, role, phone, email and links.
The difference from a paper card is what happens afterwards. Your details live online, so a promotion, a new number or an office move does not mean a reprint: edit the card once and the NFC card already in your pocket shows the new information straight away. Every open is also counted in the card's analytics.
For companies the benefit is order. The design starts from the same template used for printed cards, the data comes from the team's digital cards, and ordering happens online: pick the template, select the people, check the proofs and pay. If you prefer, you can also program your own NFC tag or sticker with your card's address.

How does an NFC business card work?
Inside the card is an NFC chip that holds the address of your digital card. When a smartphone comes close, it reads the chip and opens the card in the browser. No app is needed and no file is transferred.
Which phones does it work with?
Recent iPhones and most Android smartphones with NFC switched on. For everything else there is the QR code printed on the card, which leads to the same digital card.
How much does an NFC business card cost?
The price per card drops with the quantity ordered. The current price list in CHF is on this page; the total, including shipping and any discount linked to your plan, is shown in the summary before you pay.
What happens if I change number or company?
You update your digital card and that is it. The chip points to the card's address, not to the data, so the printed card keeps working and shows the new information.
Can I use an NFC tag I already own?
Yes. Every bizCARD card has a unique address: you can write it to any NFC tag or sticker with an NFC writing app, without ordering anything.
